Wolfram Alpha’s API Is Free, but Using It Costs

The company has provided a public API for using its service, but users will have to pay fees.

Wolfram Alpha now provides an API that lets developers pull results out of its computational engine. However, they’ll have to pay, as even the cheapest plan will set users back over two cents a search. More importantly, the service still suffers from the shortcomings we identified at launch.
