Petroleum engineering students will have access to software only Texas Tech and the University of Wyoming have access to because of an in-kind gift from Schlumberger, the top provider of technology, integrated project management and information solutions to the petroleum industry worldwide. The $42.5 million gift is the largest in Tech’s history and will provide for 100 modules, licenses and maintenance for Petrel seismic-to-simulation software developed by Schlumberger.
