NASA Announces Virtualized Approach To Earth Science Data Analysis

NASA supercomputing might enhanced by the power of online collaboration using virtualization of data allows the NASA Earth Exchange (NEX) to create models of Earth’s ecosystem and share with scientists worldwide. The project is aimed at studying climate change and land use patterns and what impact these alterations are having on the ecosystem. High-res modeling of Earth’s vegetation history based on the Landsat project that has been going for 30 years in addition to niche research is integrated into the research across a network, allowing scientists to send, receive, and work together on data collection and analysis. Scientists can build custom environments that can be sent to collaborators.
