According to Springboard Research, the market in China for cloud storage service is expected to double each year until 2014, growing from $6 million in 2009 to 208.54 million in 2014. The research firm suggests that will be driven forward by general demand for cloud storage with the first companies being in the small to mid-sized business category first since just as in the West, IT costs are high and companies need to look to cut costs in any way possible. This trend is expected to apply to those in the transportation, manufacturing, utilities and public sector first and will begin with hosting providers.
