Allan East would like to help the petroleum-refining industry get a little greener. The University of Regina chemistry professor hopes to achieve that through the opportunity to conduct research on a new supercomputer on the campus. With its ability to simulate molecules at the molecular scale for 100 picoseconds, East hopes to learn how better to break carbon-to-carbon bonds in petroleum.
