Federal Cloud Roadmap Still in Development Stages

Although the cloud has been adopted in several areas across the enterprise space, the federal government in the United States has been making progress toward this goal, although quite slowly. The privacy and security concerns tend to make it to the top of the list for the public sector as it looks to the clouds as an alternative and these very issues are making the roadmap itself difficult to draw out–even still The government has held many debates and has hosted several roundtables on the issues but has yet to fully embrace the idea, seemingly convinced that the barriers are still too high on a privacy level. Some agencies have adopted cloud models, but for the bulk of government IT projects, this is still some time in the unnamed future.
