BRISTOL, England, Dec. 10 -- ClearSpeed Technology, the world leader in acceleration for high performance computing (HPC), today announced that Andrew "Andy" Kroese has joined as chief financial officer and board member. Based in San Jose, Calif., he will be responsible for leading ClearSpeed's finance strategy and will also be involved in working with ClearSpeed's global partners and customers.
A seasoned 20 year HP veteran, Kroese was most recently finance director of HP's world-wide Personal Systems Group (PSG WW) where he was responsible for financial management of the group's supply chain and customer support activities. As part of that responsibility, he lead the group's financial management of supply chain architecture, inventory, commodity procurement, and outsourced manufacturing.
"Andy brings an extensive range of IT industry and finance experience particularly in the area of worldwide operations effectiveness in delivering to customer needs," said Tom Beese, ClearSpeed chief executive officer. "I am confident that he will make a significant contribution to ClearSpeed's leadership and growth of our business."
