Industry leaders join forces to discuss "The Role of Technology in the Shifting Sands of Global Services"
OTTAWA & MENLO PARK, Calif., Sept. 9 -- Craig Betts, CEO of Solace Systems, will join Andy Bechtolsheim, chairman and chief development officer of Arista Networks, along with a representative from Barclays Capital to deliver a joint keynote presentation at the upcoming High Performance on Wall Street conference in New York, NY, Sept. 14, 2009, at 9:30 a.m. EST.
In the presentation, The Role of Technology in the Shifting Sands of Global Services, Mr. Betts will discuss how financial institutions can simultaneously tackle rapidly rising data rates and the race towards zero latency. Additionally, he will explain how fundamental issues of competitiveness extend beyond the front office to change requirements in the middle and back office for both buy- and sell-side firms, as well as market data vendors and exchanges.
Mr. Bechtolsheim, a co-founder of Sun Microsystems who is also founder, chairman and chief development officer of Arista Networks, will discuss key trends in the high performance computing market and how they can help financial institutions meet these challenges. This will include the evolution of high performance networks, the role of InfiniBand and 10 GigE, and the performance impact of solid state storage.
Finally, a representative of Barclays Capital will describe how the firm is benefiting from the adoption of high performance technology.
