Trenton designs customer-driven computing solutions combining system host boards, backplanes and rugged enclosures with NVIDIA Tesla computing processors
ATLANTA, Dec. 9 -- With acceptance into the NVIDIA Tesla Preferred Partner (TPP) program Trenton is in position to create advanced computing solutions which incorporate NVIDIA Tesla 20-series GPU computing products. Utilizing NVIDIA's CUDA parallel computing architecture, such systems are targeted at high-performance computing (HPC) applications such as medical imaging, signals intelligence, cryptography, genomics, bioinformatics and seismic image analysis. In combination with a Trenton PICMG 1.3 system host board and PCIe Gen2 backplane, Tesla computing processors deliver supercomputing performance within a small footprint.

The world's largest supercomputers, like Tianhe-2, are great at traditional, compute-intensive HPC workloads, such as simulating atomic decay or modeling tornados. But data-intensive applications--such as mining big data sets for connections--is a different sort of workload, and runs best on a different sort of computer.
