DANVILLE, Calif., Jan. 4 -- Whamcloud, a venture-backed company formed from worldwide high-performance computing (HPC) storage industry veterans, announced today the hiring of three key personnel as part of their stated goal to be the go-to group for Lustre on Linux for HPC. Bryon Neitzel, Andreas Dilger and Peter Jones, all well-known names in the Lustre community, will be continuing management, community and support roles for Lustre when they start at Whamcloud this month.
"We're bullish about where Lustre is headed. Recent attention from the community shows there is more interest and support than ever in moving the technology forward. We want to be the place people think of -- worldwide -- when they think of Lustre," said Brent Gorda, CEO and president of Whamcloud.
New Whamcloud Personnel
