The HOT CHIPS conference typically attracts more than 500 attendees from all over the world. It provides an opportunity for chip designers, computer architects, system engineers, press and analysts, as well as attendees from national laboratories and academia to mix, mingle and see presentations on the latest technologies and products.

About David Riddoch
David is chief software architect at Solarflare. In January of 2006, Solarflare merged with Level 5 Networks, originally called Cambridge Internetworking, which he co-founded in 2002. Previously, David worked at AT&T Laboratories-Cambridge. He completed a Ph.D. at the Laboratory for Communications Engineering (now the Digital Technology Group) of the University of Cambridge Engineering Department and is a member of Downing College. His research and development interests lie in the field of high performance networking, from low level protocols and system software to application-level interfaces.
