Brandt has been appointed as the Managing Editor for the recently announced Green Computing Report. Published in partnership with the Washington D.C.-based Green IT Council, Green Computing Report will serve the IT industry as a primary resource for news and information on the latest advancements taking place in energy efficient technologies designed for the data center. Richard Brandt has been writing about science, technology, business, and environmental issues since 1981. Prior to joining Tabor Communications as managing editor of Green Computing Report, Brandt served as the Editor-in-Chief of Upside magazine for five years, and as a technology correspondent for Business Week magazine for 14 years. He has also spent the past several years freelancing articles, writing books about entrepreneurs, and covering the technological advancements taking place across the green IT industry.
Highly regarded as both a public speaker and commentator, Brandt has won numerous awards, including a National Magazine Award, Computer Press Association Awards, and Maggie Awards, among others. He was a Knight Science Journalism Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Science Journalism Fellow with the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
