LEIPZIG, Germany, March 13 — The ISC'13 HPC in Asia Session is inviting researchers and engineers to submit research posters to be displayed during the session. The session, which is now incorporated into the main conference program, is to be held on Monday, June 17.

The five-hour session aims to share information on the latest HPC systems and applications from leading supercomputing countries in Asia – China, India, Japan, Korea, Singapore and Taiwan – as well as presenting related HPC activities and research in those nations.

The first two events in this series were held under the name "HPC in Asia Workshop" in conjunction with previous two ISC conferences. The success of those workshops led organizers to provide a permanent platform for HPC initiatives in Asia and expand the scope to include research posters.

The 2013 poster presentations include the following topic categories, but are not limited to them:

• Applications: any fields of science and engineering computing led by Asian research groups with local HPC resources
• Systems: research on system hardware/architecture/software led by Asian research groups
• Performance: system performance analysis related to Asian HPC systems

Review of Poster Submission

All submitted posters will be reviewed by the workshop steering committee based on an extended abstract (two-page A4 format), including figures, tables and references. Posters will be judged based on scientific value as well as the subject's significance to state-of-the-art research in Asian countries. Please submit your poster as PDF document to submit.hpcasia@isc-events.com. In your accompanying e-mail, please indicate the name and address of the corresponding author and the topic area.

Poster Presentation

All accepted posters will be displayed at the HPC in Asia Session and along with ISC'13 posters during the conference. The final posters may not exceed A0 portrait paper size (841mm x 1189mm / 33.1" x 46.8").

Submitters will be required to attend ISC or send a representative to present the poster. The extended abstract and poster materials will be included in the ISC'13 website as a collection of workshop materials.

Important dates

• Deadline for abstract: Fri., May 4
• Acceptance notification: Fri., May 17
• HPC in Asia Session: Mon., June 17

The session will conclude with an interesting panel discussion titled "How Can Asians Conduct Excellent HPC Research with Limited Resources?" Participation will include the six supporting member countries.
