SQream and Mellanox Bring Performance Benefits to Customers

San Jose, Calif., March 20 — SQream Technologies Ltd., the leading analytics database technology provider, and Mellanox Technologies, a leading supplier of high-performance, end-to-end interconnect solutions for data center servers and storage systems, today announced a Big Data analytics platform that leverages the SQream’s GPU-powered Analytics Engine, Mellanox’s VSA Storage Accelerator software, and Mellanox’s ConnectX-3 FDR 56Gb/s InfiniBand adapter cards with NVIDIA GPUDirect technology. The solution enables extreme performance gains by eliminating the need for CPU involvement when reading data from SAN appliance directly into the GPU RAM.

“The SQream Analytics Engine combined with the Mellanox FDR InfiniBand and NVIDIA GPUDirect technology provides unrivaled enterprise-class Big Data analytics performance that can only be achieved by more expensive solutions,” said Ami Gal, CEO, SQream Technologies. “We have already proven extreme performance to market and now, through this collaboration with Mellanox, we are providing customers with even much higher performance gains.”

SQream Analytics Engine enables business analysts to harness the power of the GPU-powered database via SQL and conduct investigative and predictive analytics. The combined solution provides and added boost in the SQream's performance and delivers a much higher cost effectiveness compared to other well-known analytic databases.

“Mellanox is pleased to bring our VSA and ConnectX-3 solutions to the SQream Analytics Engine,” said Gilad Shainer, vice president of marketing development at Mellanox Technologies. “Customers who deploy our highly acclaimed products with SQream’s database are provided with a compelling enterprise solution that is powerful, cost-effective and easy to use and deploy.”

Mellanox's Storage Accelerator (VSA) software is a highly scalable, high-performance, low-latency software solution for tier-one storage and gateways that provides ultra-fast remote block storage access and accelerates access to SAN, DAS, or Flash-based storage.

ConnectX-3 adapter cards with Virtual Protocol Interconnect (VPI) supporting InfiniBand and Ethernet connectivity provide the highest performing and most flexible interconnect solution for PCI Express Gen3 servers.
