SAN JOSE, Calif., May 5 — Bright Computing, the leading independent provider of management software for high performance computing (HPC) clusters, big data clusters, and OpenStack clouds, announced today that Bill Griffin has been appointed as its Chief Financial Officer. The appointment of a seasoned Silicon Valley financial leader with more than 25 years of experience in financial, operational and executive management positions will help drive the company to its next phase of growth, maturity, and success.
Mr. Griffin most recently served as CFO of StrongView Systems, Inc., a top-ranked independent provider of enterprise marketing software. During his nine-year tenure at StrongView, culminating in the company’s successful acquisition by HGGC and subsequent merger with Selligent, Mr. Griffin focused operationally on revenue and expense management. He also oversaw StrongView’s compliance with legal and licensing, consumer marketing, financial planning and analysis, and financial reporting requirements.
Prior to StrongView, Mr. Griffin held executive-level financial roles at InsWeb Corporation, ZipSend, Inc., and Inference Corp. His software industry experience ranges from orchestrating financial restructurings to executing private placements and initial public offerings. He began his career as a certified public accountant with Ernst & Young, where he developed the firm’s Los Angeles-area software industry practice.
