AMSTERDAM, The Netherlands, Jan. 14 — Bright Computing, the leading provider of infrastructure management solutions for cloud, big data, and HPC, today unveiled its growing commitment to the Europe, Middle East and Africa markets by announcing a significant investment into the EMEA division of the organisation. In recent years, Bright Computing has seen the EMEA market grow considerably; European customer acquisition is on the rise and the region is making an increasingly significant contribution towards the company’s overall revenues. Bright Computing has responded by investing in a European team to support its growing customer base.
Lee Carter, who joined the company in March 2014, has been promoted to VP EMEA, to manage the team.
Dietmar Fuchs, based out of Austria, takes ownership for Bright’s business in DACH, Central and Eastern Europe, with a specialist focus on the telecommunications and service provider vertical across EMEA. With more than 25 years of software sales experience in the areas of mobility, big data, cloud, OSS, and security, Dietmar brings extensive knowledge of his region and vertical, as well as a proven expertise in selling software solutions to large organizations.
Haroon Ibrahim joins the Bright EMEA team to lead the Life Sciences business, addressing the growing demand from healthcare and research organizations for cluster management solutions such as Bright, that scale to satisfy their modern day business challenges. Haroon is an experienced hands-on sales leader with a consistent track record for over-achievement. He has a deep understanding of the life science and healthcare sector and will work to bring strategic new business opportunities to the Bright table, and deliver next generation business solutions to the EMEA customer base.
Mark Sargeant will lead the UK and Benelux team at Bright Computing, with a specialist focus on the EMEA Financial Services industry. Mark brings over 20 years of software sales experience to Bright, having held multiple strategic sales positions at IBM. Mark is self-motivated and driven, and well respected in the financial services industry. He understands the requirement these enterprises have for powerful and robust cluster management solutions that address the challenges that cloud, big data and HPC present.
