Dec. 22 — ASC16 registry has been opened for all universities around the world, and preliminary activities are under progress.
In order to promote the development of HPC application and talent cultivation, ASC committee invites HPC users and experts to submit applications for contests, the selected one will be used for ASC16 competition.
Application Requirements
Application Optimization Test
- From academic or industry, domain not restricted.
- Source code, installation package, and license should be provided.
- Should be run on Linux, MPI parallel.
- Workloads of different sizes, and technical documents such as manuals of code compiling, running process, performance number and validation should be provided.
e Prize Heterogonous Optimization Test
- The large-scale computing application needing performance improvement.
- Parallelism, clear process, and high scalability. (Based on Linux, programming by C, C++ or Fortran, within 1000 lines)
- Three workloads with different sizes. (Providing application compiling, running mode, performance and validity authentication documents)

The Selected Applications for ASC16
- All final teams are committed to sign a confidential agreement for application right to use in ASC16 competition only.
- The owner of the selected application will be agree to serve as ASC16 competition committee, and will help to judge the student teams on the application.
- The selected application with best optimization from ASC16 competition will be shared with the owner.
