LEIPZIG, Germany, March 18 — Advance registration at reduced rates is now open for the 2014 International Supercomputing Conference (ISC’14), which will be held June 22-26 in Leipzig, Germany. By registering now, ISC’14 attendees can save over 25 percent off the onsite registration rates at the Leipzig Congress Center.
Combine this discount with the improvements and additions to this year’s program and there is even more incentive now for planning to attend ISC’14.
This year the organizers offer a comprehensive five-day program that consists of half-day and full-day tutorials on Sunday, June 22, followed by a four-day conference track that includes four keynotes, the ISC Research Paper and Poster sessions, and various topics and interest-specific Bird of a Feather Sessions. The prestigious PRACE-ISC and Gauss Awards await the best research papers.
The ISC exhibition, which is a three-day event, will once again feature dynamic exhibits from leading HPC companies and research organizations. Apart from that, a number of workshops and partnered events will complete this year’s program, including the ISC Student Cluster Competition, which again returns to the show floor.
New and exciting this year is the two-day industrial HPC track titled “Industry Innovation through HPC,” aimed at a new target audience: engineers, manufacturers and designers. The track is designed to give them the right set of tools and methods they will need for acquiring and operating HPC systems so as to improve their return on investment and market competitiveness.
This year attendees will be able to tailor their registration to meet their interests and schedule, thanks to a new passport system. The system offers five different passport categories enabling the participants to register for the entire program, the exhibition, the tutorial, the special focus program the ISC team has put together, or just specific days.
“We believe attendees will be able garner more value from this year’s passport and pricing structure,” said Martin Meuer, the managing director of ISC’14. “Our latest edition, the ‘Special Focus Pass’ is intended for those who are new to the conference. They will receive access to a good selection of scientific and industry-related program, at a very competitive price. No one is going to miss out on any important trend and networking opportunity at ISC’14.”
The HPC Advisory Council meeting on Sunday, June 22, will require an additional registration. Check out all the different passports and the fees structure here.
Now in its 29th year, ISC’14 is expected to draw more than 2,500 attendees from academia, research institutions and industry around the world. About 170 leading vendors, laboratories and EU organizations active in the field of HPC will showcase their products, research and joint-efforts at the ISC exhibition.
