HPC Advisory Council Announces First Annual Singapore HPC Conference

The HPC Advisory Council, a leading organization for high-performance computing research, outreach and education, today announced that the HPC Advisory Council, in association with A*STAR Computational Resource Centre, will hold the HPC Advisory Council Singapore High-Performance Computing Conference 2014 on October 7, 2014 in Singapore. The conference is open to the public and will bring together system managers, researchers, developers, computational scientists and industry affiliates. Please make sure to register early to ensure your seat at the conference. Speaker and sponsorship opportunities are available.

The Conference will focus on the following subjects:

  • High-performance computing systems
  • High-speed networks
  • High-performance and parallel I/O
  • Communication libraries: MPI, SHMEM, PGAS
  • Advanced topics / technologies / development / the road to Exascale
  • GPU computing, CUDA, OpenCL
  • New HPC initiatives and programs

Michalewicz, senior director at A*STAR Computational Resource Centre. “We have been particularly impressed with the HPC Advisory Council leadership and engagement in organizing Student Cluster Competitions worldwide. NTU Student team, coached and prepared by A*CRC staff, has performed particularly well this year coming second among 82 Universities from around the world at this year’s Asia Student Supercomputer Challenge (ASC14) in China, and now the second team from the NUS, also coached by A*CRC staff, will compete at SC14 in New Orleans. The student team members will have opportunity to share their experiences with participants of this forthcoming event.”
