June 30 — The Centre for High Performance Computing (CHPC) invites the world’s HPC policy-makers, researchers, vendors, industrial and academic partners and members of the public to attend their eight annual meeting to be held in Kruger National Park, Skukuza, Mpumalanga, South African 1-5 December 2014.
One of Africa’s largest spaces dedicated to the protection and preservation of wildlife will provide the perfect backdrop for this year’s conference theme, “Towards an energy-efficient HPC System.” In the heard of Africa’s home to the Big Five – leopard, lion, elephant, rhino and buffalo – attendees will develop a greater appreciation for resource stewardship and responsible innovation while participating in a thoughtfully-assembled programme of contributed and invited papers, presentations and open-discussion forums. The student cluster competition, an annual conference highlight, will showcase sponsors’ dedication to excellence and workforce development.
“We hope Kruger Park’s profound and fragile beauty will inspire everyone to keep energy efficiency at the forefront of future innovation,” said CHPC Director, Happy Sithole.
Register for the conference at www.chpcconf.co.za.
