Venyu and CMA Partner to Offer IBM Servers

November 21, 2013

BATON ROUGE, La., Nov. 21 —  Venyu today announced a new alliance with CMA Technology Solutions (CMA) and their joint support for customers using the IBM System i Power Servers. The two companies have partnered to form the CMA Series i technology infrastructure, a new resource that places IBM System i Power Servers within Venyu’s data centers to bring RestartIT‘s cloud-based backup and recovery services, including full virtual Disaster Recovery, additional remote monitoring and administration to IBM legacy server users.

Venyu is a leader in business continuitycloud-based virtualization, and battle-tested data recovery services. The company’s RestartIT offering is an award-winning platform specifically designed to quickly recover data lost due to outages or common IT network disruptions. RestartIT helps customers save countless hours trying to retrieve data and is based on Recovery Time Objective (RTO), the time measurement between an outage and the moment data is available.

“Data backup and recovery is the number one concern for most companies. At Venyu, our business is dedicated to alleviating these concerns — giving customers peace-of-mind that their applications and data are always available and retrievable via the cloud regardless of their on-premise infrastructure,” said Scott Thompson, Chief Executive Officer at Venyu.

As an IBM Premier Partner, CMA offers customers a range of hardware and software customized to meet various business needs as well as offering one of the market’s deepest expertise on IBM System i — one of the top mid-range computer systems for IBM users. The new partnership brings IBM System i technology into Venyu’s portfolio of innovative data center offerings and enhances the company’s services for insurance, local and state governments universities, manufacturing and distribution, and other organizations seeking to augment in-house IBM administration.

“The heritage of IBM System i goes back thirty-five years, and many businesses and public sector entities still rely on it today. But for these customers, the challenge of backup and recovery has always been difficult,” said Ben Cherbonnier, Founder and President, CMA Technology Solutions. “Teaming with CMA, Venyu can now provide customers with the IBM System i hardware and expertise to offer appropriate cloud back-up and remote administration.”
