May 3 — The Visualization Showcase presents innovative digital imagery that demonstrates the analytic potential of advanced computing technologies and the transformative impact that such images have on scientific discovery. Proposals should be of general interest to the digital resources community, be stored in a common media format such as MPEG or Quicktime File Format, and be provided via link for viewing (e.g. YouTube) or downloading (e.g. Dropbox). Submissions should also include a brief explanation (abstract) as to why the research is relevant to improving the quality and diversity of the resources and services available to the open scientific research community.
(OPTIONAL) Submissions may include an in-depth document detailing the science application and resulting data as well as the visualization techniques applied; these documents will be included in the published Conference Proceedings.
