On today’s edition of Soundbite, we’re talking with Jacek Jakowski, a computational scientist at the National Institute for Computational Sciences at Oak Ridge National Lab and the University of Tennessee. He and his team are using the Kraken supercomputer to explore quantum effects in nanoscale materials. Kraken will be running until April or so, therefore, we talk about future architectures and systems that will be a good fit for applications such as his.
