Podcast: Applied Mathematics Center Stage for Exascale Efforts

Nicole Hemsoth

Today we’ll be talking with Dr. Jeff Hittinger, a Computational Scientist in the Center for Applied Scientific Computing at Lawrence Livermore National Lab. In addition to his research role there, Hittinger is co-chair with Dr. Jack Dongarra in the Exascale Mathematics Working Group. The group recently produced an in-depth report on Applied Mathematics Research for Exascale Computing, which aims to identify mathematics and algorithms research opportunities on the horizon that will enable applications to take advantage of exascale-class systems.
