The calendar has flipped, and the time to reflect on the past, present, and future presents itself. In that spirit, the HPCwire team presents the People to Watch 2010 list of industry luminaries who are making a difference in HPC. The HPCwire People to Watch list is a semi-annual listing of individuals who are either contributing to the practical advancements of HPC technology and usage, or are serving, in some capacity, as an ambassador for the HPC community at large. The selections are made through discussions with the HPCwire Editorial/Publishing team, with input garnered from luminaries in the HPC community ecosystem, including nominations and feedback from past recipients. This list is by no means a complete list, but after rigorous discussion, it's an honor for us to present twelve people who we believe are making a difference in HPC in 2010.
