Faye Pairman

Faye Pairman
President and CEO
Panasas, Inc.

Long recognized as a driving force amongst the storage community, Ms. Pairman brings more than 20 years of executive leadership experience to her recent appointment as president and CEO of Panasas. As part of Panasas' savvy new business development strategy, Pairman was brought into the company last April to expand Panasas' reach beyond the traditional HPC market segments that Panasas has historically been strong in. Under Pairman's leadership, Panasas has built a new executive management team, largely comprised of extremely talented women.

Amazingly, in the midst of her management and business strategy revamp, Pairman found the time to launch Panasas' new PAS 12, its newest parallel storage system. PAS, which stands for Panasas ActiveStor, is the company's flagship NAS storage line meant to serve HPC and similar performance-critical enterprise applications. PAS 12, the fourth generation of the product, is being touted as "the world's fastest parallel storage system."

Prior to joining Panasas, Ms. Pairman was senior vice president and general manager of the storage business unit at Applied Micro Circuits Corporation (AMCC) after AMCC acquired 3ware Inc., where she had served as president and CEO. At 3ware, Pairman overhauled the company's technology roadmap and operating plan to capitalize on market realignment and leverage advances in disk storage technology, resulting in an amazing spike of revenue growth of over 300%. She also spent eight years at Adaptec, Inc. in a number of senior marketing and general management positions. While at Adaptec, she managed the company's largest and most profitable controller business with annual revenue totaling more than $600 million.

Referring to the expectation expressed by Panasas chairman Jonathan Feiber at the time of her appointment, Feiber stated that Pairman will be "instrumental in taking Panasas to the next level, with her expertise and past record of driving strong growth strategies." We couldn't agree more.

Ms. Pairman holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of the Pacific and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
