New Orleans, LA — 3Dlabs, Inc. announced that it is continuing to work closely with Intel to integrate native 64-bit OpenGL acceleration on the Intel Itanium processor using the 3Dlabs Oxygen family of workstation graphics boards. Through this close ongoing cooperation, 3Dlabs can now offer an accelerated port of 3Dlabs’ OpenGL ICD on the Intel IA-64 architecture, beginning with the Itanium processor, to provide software developers the industry’s most robust platform for porting professional 3D applications to the new 64-bit processor. 3Dlabs will be demonstrating accelerated OpenGL running on the Intel Itanium processor powered by the new Oxygen GVX420 graphics card, announced in a separate release, on its booth #3029 at the SIGGRAPH exposition in New Orleans, July 25th-27th.
