FORMER NOVELL EXECUTIVE JOINS BUSINESS LAYERS
Washington, D.C. — A former Novell executive, Adrian Viego, has joined Business Layers as Chief Technology Officer, where he will be responsible for bringing new technology advancements to Business Layers’ line of eProvisioning products. His twenty years of experience in management, business, and technology has given him choice business opportunities at numerous organizations. Before Novell, Adrian has had many significant achievements while working at Bellcore, the famed communications software and research laboratory. Adrian was honored in the Information Age exhibit at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington D.C., by displaying these technologies he helped create.
UNICA APPOINTS JOHN LANDRY TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Lincoln, MASS. — Unica Corporation, the leading provider of analytical CRM and marketing automation solutions, announced the appointment of technology and business innovator, John Landry, to its board of directors. Landry brings extensive experience as both a technologist and business strategist to Unica. During the course of his career, he has been chief technology officer for Lotus Development, Dun & Bradstreet, Cullinet Software, and McCormack & Dodge. He currently serves as vice president of technology strategy at IBM, focusing on the company’s e-business initiatives, and until its recent acquisition by Palm, was chairman of the leading Internet calendaring and scheduling service, AnyDay.com (Cambridge, MA). ENTRADA NETWORKS NAMES HARRIS AND PETROCELLI
San Diego, CALIF. — Entrada Networks, specializing in the development of new technologies for the storage area networking (SAN) market, announced the appointment of technology marketing executive Michael Harris as vice president, marketing, and Tom Petrocelli as vice president, business development. Harris joins Entrada from Emag LLC, a global data storage solutions and software firm (formerly a division of Anacomp Inc.) where he served as senior vice president, marketing and business development. At Emag and Anacomp, Harris was responsible for starting a number of initiatives to address the burgeoning data storage market, driven mostly by escalating Internet and e-commerce demands.
Prior to Emag, he spent six years with Philips NV (now Royal Philips Electronics) first as an international marketing manager and later as the director of marketing and product management of a consumer technology products division. Before Philips he was a business planning and marketing consultant with Coopers & Lybrand, working primarily on telecommunications engagements.
