San Jose, CALIF. — Fastlane Software Systems ( http://www.xni.com ) announced they have won a Federal Procurement award to deploy realtime network monitoring systems at the Federal Aviation Administration. In an intensely competitive field Fastlane Software Systems, a small start-up beat such industry giants as EDS, Elron and Concord Communications. Fastlane’s winning proposal featured a turnkey approach which integrates their award winning Xni software, various open source elements, the Redhat (Nasdaq: RHAT) Linux Operating system and Intel based hardware from Compaq Computer Corporation.
“The combination of our Xni software and the Redhat Linux operating system offers a robust, stable and highly economical platform which gives us a distinct edge over the NT based competitors”, said Brain Sefton, CEO, Fastlane Software.

Fastlane Software Systems develops, deploys and supports realtime network analysis and monitoring, security and IP Billing solutions. Fastlane is based at the NASA TEN business incubator ( http://www.ten-net.org ), and incubator which includes the NASA Ames Technology Commercialization Center (ATCC) in its clusters of high-tech startups. TEN and ATCC have approximately 20 startups under sponsorship, and includes such major successes in its graduating companies as eBay, iPrint, and Xros.
