CRAY NAMES NEALE VICE PRESIDENT, HUMAN RESOURCES
Seattle, WASH. — Global supercomputer leader Cray Inc. announced the appointment of John D. Neale vice president of human resources. Neale joins Cray Inc. from the Battelle Memorial Institute in Columbus, Ohio where he served as director of human resources for 3,300 employees at 91 payroll locations. Earlier Neale was organization and staffing manager for General Electric Nuclear Energy Operations, Wilmington, N.C., and manager of relations programs at General Electric Medical Systems Operations, Milwaukee, Wis. “I joined Cray recognizing the strength of the company’s vision for the future of supercomputing. I look forward to my role in attracting and retaining the top talent needed to propel Cray to the top of this growing industry,” stated Neale.
In his new position, Neale will be responsible for managing human resource program development and implementation, and promoting worldwide organizational effectiveness. “John is a seasoned human resources leader who will help us achieve our goals going forward,” said Cray Inc. president and CEO Jim Rottsolk. “His addition to an already strong management team will allow Cray to further the successful organizational development we have begun.” Neale earned a master’s degree in industrial relations at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a bachelor’s degree in philosophy at St. Francis College, Ft. Wayne, IN.
