The Numerical Algorithms Group (NAG), the world’s leading provider of high quality mathematical and statistical algorithms, is pleased to announce Release 4 of fl90, NAG’s Fortran 90 Library. This release gives easy access to over 250 generic user-callable procedures in the areas of optimization, linear algebra, sparse linear algebra, ordinary differential equations (ODEs), partial differential equations (PDEs), statistics, curve and surface fitting, polynomial solvers and quadrature. Based on user feedback, 41 new generic user-callable procedures have been added at Release 4, in the areas of PDEs, dense and sparse linear algebra, optimization, operations research and approximation. NAG’s Fortran 90 Library is thread-safe, functionality that allows developers the flexibility to take advantage of developing multi-threaded applications. Fl90 is also easy to incorporate into existing Fortran software applications.
