The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) in Pune, India is set to upgrade its supercomputing capacity by 40-teraflops. The current supercomputer at C-DAC, Param Padma, has a capacity of one teraflop. The process started April 1, and will take a year to complete. The Pune centre of C-DAC will play a major role in building some specialised technical systems.
