Telcos looking to offer cloud services to their customers would do well to get into bed with Google, analyst house Gartner has warned. Such is the take-up of Google’s online services that telcos looking to expand into cloud computing services could be wasting money and time by developing their own cloud apps that could potentially be inferior to those from the web giant. Gartner research VP, Alex Winogradoff, added telcos should consider working with rather than against Google if they are going to successfully make an impact with cloud services, offering Google Apps to business customers as part of their product line, for example.
