The results of a survey from Symantec and the Ponemon Institute that was released early this week suggested that organizations must make sure that security and privacy protection in the cloud are top priorities. The conclusions suggest that this can be accomplished, at least in part, by implementing sound, detailed policies and procedures governing the use of the cloud and that there should be a wide range of tools available and accessible. Despite these recommendations, the study found that very few enterprise cloud users had broad security measures in place and that few were trained to use the tools that were available.
