It can be difficult for IT organizations to monitor the performance of cloud architecture and although there are some open source solutions to aid in this, Compuware has launched a beta version of a service that will make performance metrics data from cloud services available to the public. This product, which will be officially launched later in the year, is called “Cloud Sleuth” and is currently collecting information from close to 140,000 points across the web. This launch will finally make it possible to ease some of the debates about public, private and hybrid cloud models as organizations will be able to look at the synthesis of performance metrics data and make their own estimates about cloud adoption models.
