Inspur announces at the annual meeting that it has set up an artificial intelligence department, and will continue to introduce innovative computing platforms geared towards AI applications.
“Inspur will continue to provide advanced AI computing solutions to meet the rapidly increasing demand for AI applications”, says Liu Jun, General Manager of the AI and HPC Department at Inspur. In 2017, the company will focus on product innovations for AI computing data centers, optimizations of deep learning algorithm frameworks, as well as ecosystem development. It will soon launch the most powerful deep learning supercomputer server in the computing industry, and in conjunction with this, Inspur will continue to develop and optimize open-source deep learning frameworks such as Caffe-MPI. For its customers, Inspur will offer training in cluster management software and performance optimization tools. At the same time, Inspur will work on end-to-end AI solutions designed for industries like health care, security and finance in order to build a comprehensive industry ecosystem together with its partners.
Inspur has been working on new developments in the AI domain. To this day, this company accounts for more than 60% of China AI computing server market. It works closely with other leading AI companies, such as Baidu, Alibaba, Tencent, iFLYTEK, Qihoo 360, Sogou, Toutiao, and Face++, in systems and applications as Inspur seeks to help its customers achieve significant performance improvements for voice, image, video, search, networking and other applications. In the industry today, Inspur has the most complete GPU server product line that includes 2\4\8 cards for standalone machines. Inspur and Baidu have also jointly developed an extendable PBox AI Rack designed to train and optimize standalone 16-card machines. Inspur is also the only mainstream server vendor that offers FPGA accelerator cards for deep learning.
