For the first time ever, cluster competition experts have gathered together for an actual seeding reveal for the ISC21 Student Cluster Competition. What’s this, you ask? It’s where bona fide student cluster competition authorities rank the teams 1-13 and discuss the field both as a whole and individually.
It’s a very interesting competition this year in that it features seven former champions facing off against each other for ISC cluster competition glory. This is the first time that this many championship caliber teams have competed in a single forum. There are plenty of other teams vying for the cluster crown and we discuss them all and their chances.
Along the way, we also talk about the dearth of North American teams at the last few ISC competitions and how we might be able to remedy this situation. (Jessi suggests a cattle prod.)
Join Dan Olds (me), Brian Sparks of the HPC Advisory Council, and Jessi Lanum (former competitor) as we reveal the seedings and kick the tires on the ISC21 competition. It’s a lot of fun and guaranteed laughs as we discuss the competition and rip on each other along the way.
