Adrian has a strong background in numerical libraries, having been the Technical Lead and Manager of the Cray Scientific Libraries team for several years. Prior to Cray, Adrian was an HPC Consultant at the University of Manchester.
Professor Stephen Todd, NAG Chairman, said of the new appointment: “The Board and I are delighted that Adrian has agreed to take on the role of CEO of NAG. We believe he has the right skills and experience to lead NAG through the next phase of its growth, building on the strong platform that Rob and the Senior Leadership Team have formed over the last 15 years.”
Speaking of his new role as CEO of NAG, Adrian said: “It’s a real honour to be chosen to lead the Numerical Algorithms Group – a company I’ve known and respected for my entire career. I share NAG’s passion for the role of mathematics in technology and believe this remains highly relevant in the new era of computing. I look forward to working with such a talented team to continue providing quality to NAG’s many customers whilst innovating for future growth.”
