Sept. 9, 2024 — Hyperion Research, in partnership with the HPC User Forum, is pleased to announce that applications for the 2024 HPC Innovation Excellence Award are now open.

This award celebrates noteworthy achievements in High-Performance Computing (HPC), recognizing innovation, excellence, and significant impact on the global HPC community.

Key Details:

• Application Deadline: October 21, 2024
• Eligibility: Open to individuals, organizations, and institutions that have demonstrated innovation in HPC within the past five years.
• Award Benefits: Recipients will receive global recognition through a press release and be honored at the Hyperion Research AI/HPC Market Update Breakfast Briefing during SC24.
• Rewards: Winners will receive a $1,000 USD prize, a custom HPC Innovation Excellence Award trophy, and global recognition.

The HPC Innovation Excellence Awards aim to highlight innovations that have had a meaningful impact on fields such as science, medicine, engineering, data science, and business. Submissions must demonstrate a positive impact within these domains or show measurable results in areas such as revenue growth, cost savings, job creation, or societal benefits. Achievements made over the last five years are eligible, and incremental advancements are considered alongside major breakthroughs.

Notably, entries must reflect tangible outcomes rather than planned initiatives, and should combine innovative methods or technologies with proven real-world benefits. Examples of valid submissions include advancements in algorithmic development, hardware implementations, or the use of HPC for complex problem-solving in areas such as computational modeling, simulation, machine learning, and quantum computing.

To apply, submit your application through the website link below. Applications must be completed by the project’s principal investigator or leader. The HPC Innovation Excellence Awards recognize significant achievements in high performance computing. HPC uses parallel processor clusters for complex problem-solving, including computational analysis, modeling, simulation, machine/deep learning, AI, and quantum computing.
