HPC Advisory Council and CSCS Announce Switzerland Conference 2014

SUNNYVALE, Calif. and LUGANO, Switzerland, Dec. 11 — The HPC Advisory Council, a leading organization for high-performance computing research, outreach and education, and the Swiss National Supercomputing Centre (CSCS), will host the 5th HPC Advisory Council Switzerland Conference 2014 in the Lugano Convention Centre, Lugano, Switzerland, from March 31st through April 3rd, 2014. New this year, is an additional day of tutorials and will include comprehensive education for topics such as the progress of Exascale in the European Union, accelerators, high-speed interconnects, Big Data, HPC Cloud, OpenStack, storage and server advancements, new topologies, and middleware and communication libraries. Speaking and sponsorship opportunities are available on a limited basis.

“Celebrating our 5th year, the HPC Advisory Council Switzerland Conference 2014 will extend to 4 days to provide additional research sessions and rich educational content, taught from some of the industry’s most recognized luminaries and scientists, that will help users optimize their high-performance systems to improve their application productivity,” said Gilad Shainer, chairman of the HPC Advisory Council. “We are pleased to collaborate again with the Swiss National Supercomputing Centre for this upcoming conference, and will continue to assist and provide resources for industry and community organizations to better leverage HPC system capabilities and improve productivity and efficiency.”
