ST. PAUL, Minn., Sept. 18 — Hyperion Research has issued a final call for submission for the HPC Innovation Excellence Awards that will be announced at the SC18 conference in November. The awards, given twice a year at the ISC and SC conferences, recognize outstanding scientific, engineering and business computing achievements made enabled by high performance computing. Past winners in awards program, which began in 2011, include GE, Beijing Genomics Institute, the US Department of Defense, PayPal, University College London, Procter & Gamble, Facebook, Southern California Earthquake Center, BP, NASA, NVIDIA, and many others.
The awards are judged by the Steering Committee of the HPC User Forum, an independent group of volunteers who are assisted when needed by additional domain experts. Criteria stress actual rather than just planned achievements in science, engineering or enterprise operations, not including performance advances dependent merely on data center equipment upgrades.
If you would like your project to be considered, you may apply one of two ways. One, you can fill out an online application on the website, http://www.hpcuserforum.com/innovationaward/index.html, or you can contact Alex Norton at [email protected] to set up a short phone call. You can also find more information about the award program as well as other past winners and their projects at the website above.
