Motivair Launches Exascale-Class CDUs and Modular HPC Data Centers at SC19

November 15, 2019

DENVER, Colorado, Nov. 15 – Attendees will have the chance to learn more about the future of exascale cooling and Modular HPC Data Centers this November at Motivair Corporations’ booth – 243 – at SC19, Nov. 18-22. Motivair will exhibit a wide range of its Data Center and IT Cooling technology at the upcoming Denver show, including the ChilledDoor, several Coolant Distribution Units (CDU), and information about its new turnkey Modular HPC Data Centers.

Motivair’s technology will play an integral role in the next three US-based exascale supercomputers – the recently announced El Capitan for Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory; Aurora at Argonne National Laboratory; and Frontier at Oak Ridge National Laboratory – being delivered in 2021 and 2023.
Motivair’s Exascale CDU, which will cool three upcoming US-based exascale computers, bolsters the full line of CDUs for use with our ChilledDoor or other IT computer cooling systems.

“This marks a milestone both in computing power but also in the way they are cooled, a coveted title held by Motivair but earned through the hard work and dedication of our entire team,” said Motivair President and CEO Rich Whitmore. “Our Exascale-Class CDUs and supporting products now stand unparalleled on the global stage touting advanced control and communication functions as well as benchmarked thermal performance that exceeded our highest expectations.

The Modular HPC Data Center is a comprehensive turnkey solution that supplies clients with a total high-density environment cooled by Motivair technology. It will cool densities up to 75kW per rack in air-cooled systems and 150 kW per rack for modern liquid-cooled systems.

“The Modular HPC Data Center represents the next step in delivering scalable, affordable, modern data center solutions for clients with varying budget needs. Clients now will have access to custom solutions that propel maximum uptime and lowest TCO,” Whitmore said.

Additional information available at booth 243 include:

• NEW Modular HPC Data Center: A purpose-built, modular HPC data center that addresses the needs of both IT professionals and corporate leadership. Backed by Motivair’s Data Center and IT Cooling technology, our data center helps compress time to market, improve server performance, profitability and uptime.

• Motivair’s ChilledDoor: An active rear-door heat exchanger that cools rack densities up to 75 kW per rack. It is a leader in high efficiency and high-density server rack cooling systems for small, medium and larger data centers.

• The CDU: It provides the ability to deploy higher density, load diverse IT equipment in a smaller footprint while at the same time improving a facility’s overall efficiency (PUE), and life expectancy.

Motivair’s diverse range of Data Center and IT Cooling technology helps end-users maximize uptime and offers the lowest total cost of ownership. Our technology is featured in several Top500 supercomputers.
