Mphasis and Classiq Partner to Drive Quantum Innovation

June 4, 2024

TEL AVIV, Israel, June 4, 2024 — Mphasis, a leader in IT solutions with a focus on cloud and cognitive services, has announced a strategic partnership with quantum software company Classiq. This collaboration aims to accelerate the integration of quantum solutions into enterprise operations, driving innovation and pushing technological boundaries.

Classiq is known for its advanced quantum computing software, which enables efficient quantum algorithm design. Mphasis plans to use these algorithms to develop industry-specific solutions in sectors such as BFSI, Life Sciences, Healthcare, Supply Chain & Logistics, and Chemistry. Together, they will create intellectual properties (IPs), market and implement customer IPs, execute projects, and support the commercialization of Classiq’s platform.

Mphasis’ Quantum Initiative, launched in 2020 within NEXT Labs, focuses on helping clients transition to the quantum era. This initiative includes awareness-building, workshops, and the development of quantum solutions in key areas like optimization, AI, simulation, and cybersecurity. The company prioritizes applied research, industry-specific solutions, thought leadership, partnerships, and a design thinking approach to drive quantum adoption.

“We are thrilled to announce our collaboration with Classiq and leveraging their expertise to unlock the vast potential of quantum computing,” said Srikumar Ramanathan, Chief Solutions Officer for Mphasis. “This partnership enables us to combine our industry knowledge with cutting-edge quantum technology, to innovative solutions tailored to our clients’ needs. Together we hope to lead the way in initiating and implementing state-of-the-art quantum solutions that redefine the boundaries of our field.”

“Classiq is proud to be partnering with Mphasis to support scalable enterprise quantum computing software development,” said Nir Minerbi, co-founder and CEO of Classiq. “Together we combine depth of industry domain knowledge and quantum expertise with the technology needed to implement sophisticated optimized quantum computing programs for our clients.”

This partnership aims to set new industry standards and unlock new possibilities through quantum computing, which can solve previously intractable problems and lead to new discoveries. The National Institute of Standards and Technology highlights the potential for breakthroughs in materials science, drug discovery, and financial modeling. McKinsey & Company estimates the quantum technology market could reach $106 billion by 2040.

In addition to their current partnership, Mphasis has been involved in significant quantum initiatives. In June 2021, Mphasis, the Government of Alberta, and the University of Calgary launched Quantum City in Canada, focusing on talent development and building a quantum computing ecosystem. In June 2022, Mphasis furthered its commitment to Canada by opening a delivery center in Calgary, enhancing the region’s reputation as a hub for digital transformation and quantum computing.
