NEC and Quobyte Formalize Partnership to Offer Turnkey Storage Solution for HPC

SANTA CLARA, Calif. and DUSSELDORF, Germany, June 12, 2018 — Quobyte Inc., a leading developer of modern storage system software, and NEC Deutschland GmbH a leading provider of HPC solutions, announced today that they have formalized their partnership to develop and offer a complete storage solution stack for HPC workloads based on NEC HPC hardware and Quobyte’s Data Center File System software.

The NEC-Quobyte solution platform offers researchers and enterprises a cost-effective, high-performance storage system based on easily configurable performance and capacity modules that brings the operational efficiencies of hyperscalers to HPC workloads by providing a massively scalable modern file system alternative to aged storage architectures. The highly configurable system can easily scale to hundreds of petabytes without increasing administrative burden, while being able to service large streaming workloads and millions of small file workloads.
