Oct. 20, 2021 — In 2022 PRACE will present for the seventh time its Ada Lovelace Award for HPC. Launched in 2016, the Award is annually presented to a female scientist who makes an outstanding contribution to and impact on HPC in Europe and the world and serves as a role model for women who are at the start of their scientific careers. The awardee is announced at the annual PRACE Scientific and Industrial Conference (PRACEdays) and is invited to participate in the concluding plenary Panel Discussion.
From March 22-24, 2022, PRACE will organize the eighth edition of its Scientific and Industrial Conference – PRACEdays22 – as part of the EuroHPC Summit Week 2022 in Paris, France.
PRACE initiated the PRACE Ada Lovelace Award for HPC at PRACEdays16 and it has been won so far by Dr Zoe Cournia (Greece), Dr Frauke Gräter (Germany), Prof. Dr Xiaoxiang Zhu (Germany), Dr Debora Sijacki (UK), Dr Alice-Agnes Gabriel (Germany), and Dr Céline Merlet (France) (https://prace-ri.eu/about/prace-awards/prace-ada-lovelace-award/).
PRACE is happy to receive your nomination for the Award. Please send it to [email protected] by Nov. 25, 2021, at 12:00 (noon) CET.
The winner of the Award will be invited to hold a talk at the plenary session (on Thursday 24 March 2022) and to participate in the concluding Panel Session at PRACEdays22 (on the same day), and will receive a cash prize of € 1 000 as well as a certificate and an engraved crystal trophy.
