Nov. 5, 2020 — On behalf of PRACE, Dr Janne Ignatius, Programme Director at CSC – IT Center for Science Ltd and Chair of the PRACE Council, is pleased to announce that Dr Florian Berberich has been appointed by the PRACE Council as PRACE’s Operations Director, effective 15 October 2020.
Florian Berberich brings to this new position a wealth of experience. Prior to this, he was the Project Manager of the PRACE Implementation Phase projects at Forschungszentrum Jülich for several years. Since March 2018, he has been PRACE Council Secretary. He became a member of the Board of Directors of PRACE aisbl in 2015.
As Operations Director, he is responsible for the development and management of the activities relating to the PRACE Peer Review Process and Project Management. He will work closely with the members of the PRACE Scientific Steering Committee and PRACE Access Committee.
