Feb. 13 — RENCI is a proud sponsor of this year’s Pearl Hacks, a two-day event conducted by UNC students that encourages college and high school age women to develop their interest in technology by participating in a weekend software engineering hackathon.
Pearl Hacks is open to young women from across the U.S. and includes a keynote speaker, technical workshops, and a hands-on hackathon, during which participants divide into teams and apply what they’ve learned to develop a software product.
You can become involved in Pearl Hacks in any of the following ways:
- Become a mentor: Pearl Hacks needs people in the field to work with hackathon teams and provide encouragement, advice, and guidance as they develop their projects.
- Become a sponsor: Pearl Hacks is provided at no cost to participants due the generosity of sponsors.
- Spread the world to college and high school age women that you know. Use the social media share at the bottom of this email or just share via old-fashioned word of mouth. This is a great opportunity for young women!
