BERKELEY, Calif., Feb. 24, 2022 — Rigetti Holdings, Inc. (“Rigetti Computing”), a pioneer in hybrid quantum-classical computing systems, today announced Michael Harburn, who previously held the role of Senior Vice President, Fabrication Operations and QPU Engineering at Rigetti, has been appointed Chief Technical Officer.

Michael Harburn has more than 25 years’ experience in the semiconductor, MEMS, and OLED industries, previously leading teams in operations, manufacturing, and R&D engineering. Before joining Rigetti in 2018, Harburn served as VP of Global Operations at Kateeva, and prior was Director, Advanced Development and NPI at FormFactor.

Rigetti announced in October 2021 that it had entered into an agreement and plan to merge with Supernova Partners Acquisition Company II, Ltd. (NYSE: SNII) (“Supernova”), a publicly traded special purpose acquisition company. The proposed business combination is subject to the approval of Supernova stockholders and other closing conditions. Following completion of the proposed business combination, the combined company will be named Rigetti Computing, Inc. and its common stock is expected to be listed on the NASDAQ under the ticker “RGTI.”
