MELBOURNE, Fla., Nov. 13 — Sabalcore Computing Inc., a leading High Performance Computing (HPC) service provider, today announced a partnership with QuantumWise A/S, a leading provider of atomic-scale simulation software.

“Atomic-scale modeling of nanostructures is an important and growing area for nanotechnology and the semiconductor industry.” said Sabalcore president John D. QuantumWise develops, distributes, and supports their flagship product Atomistix ToolKit (ATK), offering unique capabilities for simulating electrical transport properties of nanodevices on the atomic scale. Based on an open architecture which integrates a powerful scripting language with a graphical user interface, ATK is a comprehensive platform for studies in nanoelectronics, using both accurate first-principles (DFT) and fast semi-empirical methods. Moreover, ATK includes a very advanced electrostatic model to allow realistic simulations of nanoscale transistor structures. Under the partnership, QuantumWise customers can test ATK under an unlimited license on the parallel compute systems using 500 free core-hours provided by Sabalcore. Users can then access the cloud service in a pay-as-you-go model or purchase monthly or annual packages of core hours at discount pricing.

Customers will benefit from the partnership in five key ways:

  • Access integrated hardware and software for long-term production needs
  • Leverage on-demand computing resources for project to project work flow improvements.
  • Local or remote ATK license server access.
  • Access the ATK graphical user interface via Sabalcore’s accelerated Remote Graphics – rg3d.
  • Reduce costs by using  Sabalcore systems rather than purchasing and maintaining in-house systems.
