ScaleMatrix Launches Next DDC Enabled, Future-Proof Datacenter in Seattle

The launch of this third ScaleMatrix location delivers new variable density, energy and cost-efficient colocation, plus compliance-minded security features, which were previously unavailable in the Pacific Northwest market.

ScaleMatrix is launching the new site in partnership with Centeris, a leading wholesale data center provider in the Pacific Northwest. With favorable utility rates, a dedicated expandable on-site power substation currently capable of supporting 50MW of power, and hundreds of thousands of square feet of expansion space available, the site is an advantageous choice to pair with the unmatched scalable density abilities of the ScaleMatrix DDC cabinet platform.

Expansion into the Seattle marketplace is a natural evolution for ScaleMatrix, whose growing client base and partner network include some of the most demanding users in Enterprise Computing, HPC, and Deep Learning/Artificial Intelligence (AI). Seattle’s presence as the “Cloud Capital” and the inherent strength of vertical industries such as Aerospace, Defense, Life Sciences, IT, and Clean Technology all pair beautifully with the extremely efficient and high-density features of the ScaleMatrix platform.

The new ScaleMatrix US-West 02 Data Center completed commissioning earlier this week and will provide variable and high-density colocation services, cloud, and network on-ramp services to AWS, Google, Azure, and other key internet destinations through the company’s partnership with Megaport and its Software Defined Network platform. In addition, the site will be home to ScaleMatrix’ growing HPC business, through its Center of Excellence partnership with HPE and the DGX-Ready Data Center program with NVIDIA.
